The Family Sports Hotel Brennseehof was distinguished with the 2010 Special Holiday Check Award for sport and entertainment with the Wolfgang Krainer Sports School.
The Brennseehof was chosen by guests to be among the five most popular sports hotels worldwide.
Holiday Check is the most extensive independent hotel-assessment portal. Contrary to other tourism awards, the Holiday Check Award is a real public prize. The choice of winners is due alone to the assessments of guests and not the decision of a jury.
81,702 hotels were assessed by 307,764 holidaymakers in 2009 – and they formed the basis for this award.

The Brennseehof is among the 99 most popular hotels worldwide.
The Holiday Check Award is given exclusively on the basis of holidaymaker assessments. This makes the Holiday Check Award unique and distinguishes it from other awards within the travel branch.
230,000 holidaymaker assessments for the tourism season from November
2007 to the end of October 2008 form the basis for the calculation of the 2008 Holiday Check Award. By means of a formula, which correlates the number of assessments, the rates of further recommendation and the sun symbols given in the individual categories, the 99 most popular hotels worldwide were mediated by Holiday Check users.
