	Born and raised as a host We are extremely proud of our son Erland who graduated with flying colours in Tourism Management this year. Working abroad in South Africa, England ans Switzerland has given him valuable experience of the industry and in the summer he wil continue to support the Brennseehof team behind the bar and in the restaurant, getting to know his partens` business from the grass roots up.
			Our daughter Anna is now in her fourth year at the hotel and catering college and this year she also completed another spell of work placement in Italy. Her two placements in Italy mean that she now speaks perfect Italian and is therefore a great help to us behind Reception and in the restaurant. Our little "latecomer" Thomas is now in his second year at primary school and is already showing an interest in the hotel business. He makes sure that his dad knows whenever anything is broken (particularly the games machines) and often asks when and how we are finally going to get a 5th or a 6th star for the hotel! NEW: A underground tunnel to the new lakeside spa SWe have been thinking about it for a number of years now but we’ve finally done it and the Brennseehof will now be linked by an underground passage to our new “Spa by the lake.“ A further milestone has been reached in the history of the Brennseehof. We have built a large extension onto the existing “lake pavilion“ down towards the lake and have added a conservatory–lagoon pool. Our guests can now swim in 32°C warm water - both indoors or outdoors. A water jet and a massage bed will provide extra relaxation! The existing open-air pool with its slide has been refurbished and made safe for the winter. Our younger guests will still be able to enjoy their water jet, massage jets and the big water slide. Our guests, both young and old, will be now be well and truly spoilt for choice – with 6 different heated swimming pools and not forgetting the superb natural bathing lake.   The new relaxation and lounge area is glazed on all sides with a magnificent glass roof so that guests can see out to the lake and surrounding hills all year round. The space can be opened up completely when the weather is nice and warm. A small café, the “Blue sea“ relaxation room with alpha couches and an open fireplace will also help to create even more of a homely and cosy atmosphere. We have also made sure that there are enough changing facilities with showers and a further gym area. The design of the new building is low in height to blend in and also has an environmentally-friendly green roof. The magnificent view from the Brennseehof to the lake has been at the forefront of our minds throughout. “A summer feel - 365 days a year“ is the new slogan for our lakeside spa at the “Brennseehof“.
