Holidays with prime location at the lake

How do you find this beautiful spot, this sleeper for families, water lovers, tennis freaks and mountain bikers? Our company is located in the Upper Carinthian lake valley, between Millstätter- and Ossiachersee, nestled in the beautiful, green Nockberge. Feld am See is situated at the Brennsee, also called Feldsee, and offers all the requirements, that you need for sporty, relaxing and diversified holidays.

Feld am See
It is a small, tranquil village, where the Brennseehof and this pocket of land is located. Here we have anything, guests and locals could possible need: regional suppliers, hairdresser, pub, sports shop, post office, kiosk, bank. The bracing climate of the village was already praised by the famous doctor Bombastus Paracelsus. He used to travel many times from Villach to here in order to enjoy the bizarre landscape and to capture the scenery on sketches. Paracelsus also enjoyed the speciality of this valley: "The yellow soup". This dish attracts many gastronomic critics from a long way away who then describe the different versions in their international cookbooks.

But besides culinary attractions Feld am See has a lot more to offer. It does not only have rambling hiking-, bike- and mountain bike trails but also stunning conifer forests and spectacular couloirs.

Pure nature

Event to us locals it happens many times: You look at this piece of land and marvel, how beautiful it is. We see unpolluted lakes, the up and down of mountain giants and valleys, we feel the velvet air and the spirit of the people – which is a lot more Mediterranean than in the rest of Austria.

Just how much we appreciate and protect this sound nature you can see, among other things, on the fact, that we don´t allow motorboats on our bathing lakes. You can refill your drinking bottles anywhere, be it the water in the lake or the shower. The water has verified drinking water quality.
